VOX is a new kind of business broadband service, offering from 800 Kb/s upload and download to a quick 2 Mb/s with a very low contention. It is available at 1,200 exchanges nationwide for VOX 2.0 and at over 5,400 exchanges for VOX 0.8. Utilising ADSL2 and ADSL2+ technology it is possible to provide a symmetric style SDSL service with a low 5:1 contention ratio or even 1:1 for VOX 2.0 across the UK.

The service has been designed to allow businesses to provide useful home-worker and remote office services. One major benefit of the service is the up to 2 Mb/s upload bandwidth, which is capable of supporting 30 VoIP calls simultaneously. Even the lower VOX 0.8 product can support 8 concurrent VoIP calls. The low contention and symmetric characteristics also make it ideally suited to thin-client and VPN applications, offering affordable but dependable connections for time-sensitive data.

VOX Advance is a further product development, offering customers instant and seamless failover should the VOX 2.0 service fail for whatever reason giving a 99.99% uptime guarantee. The service takes advantage of the VOX 0.8 product to provide 0.8 Mb/s up and down in emergency over the same public IP address range. This means in the event of a failure on the VOX 2.0 service no manual intervention or reconfiguration is required by the client. The service is so quick in failing over between the two lines that even VPN tunnels stay open or a VoIP call can continue during a failure. VOX Advance provides a truly resilient and reliable service utilising cost-effective DSL technologies.
